The BMW Vision Future Luxury is a two-plus-two that’s approximately the same size as a 7-series. So is it a 9-series that makes way for an 8-series coupe as well? Car makers do like to make the most of any anniversary they can hang a bit of PR on, and Porsche are no different. 2013 is the 50th anniversary of the, now iconic, Porsche 911 and Porsche has been making PR hay all year with everything from a 50th anniversary 911 to a huge gathering of Porsche 911s at the Silverstone Classic. But now, with just a few months of the 911′s anniversary left to milk the PR, Porsche has put together a video featuring all seven generations of the 911, happily wishing themselves a ‘Happy Birthday’.
AS part of the MX-5’s 25th birthday celebrations, Mazda has released a limited edition version of its iconic roadster. The MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2.0-litre 25th Anniversary Limited Edition hits the showrooms in August and, to ensure its limited run status, just 1,000 individually numbered examples will be built. Crucially, in a testament to Britain's enduring love affair with open-topped motoring 750 units will be made available to UK customers, with number one being unveiled at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed on 26-29th June.
